Award winning Nigerian
singer, Aituaje Aina Vivian Ebele Iruobe popularly known as Waje has shared her
freedom story of how her life was transformed.
Waje whose life has
motivated a lot of people said she would have ended up as a prostitute living
in the slum with no hope of tomorrow and waiting to be killed by the next STD
she may contract from sex work.
She was so excited and
grateful that she has become an award winning vocalist cum song writer and she
has used her songs to reach out to a lot of people in and out of the music
industry.
She recounted her
live's experience while sharing her #freedom story. #freedomstory is a hashtag
created by freedom foundation in a bid to transform lives in various
communities.
Waje is the first
daughter and the first chld in her family. Her parents got divorced at her very
tender age and she was exposed to a lot of difficult situations.
She has won several
awards. She took part in the remake of P-Square’s “Omoge Mi” and featured as
the female voice in the duo’s 2008 hit track “Do Me”.
